BBC Young Reporter is a unique opportunity for young people to get involved with the BBC, telling the stories that matter to them and learning new skills.
Young people across the UK are given training and support to tell their own stories whilst learning about careers in the media industry. BBC Young Reporter (formally BBC School Report) works in partnership with schools, colleges, youth organisations and charities and is backed by Huw Edwards, Radio One Newsbeat's Roisin Hastie and Ben Mundy and Newsround's Ricky Boleto.
Those taking part will benefit from access to exclusive events, training and resources, as well as mentoring from BBC staff and journalists.
"BBC Young Reporter is about tapping into what really matters to young people, and giving them an opportunity and a platform to tell their stories." - Tony Hall, BBC Director-General.
